About the Author
The author of 'Building Passions' is Nick von Behr, a construction historian who is finishing his PhD at the Universities of Kent and Lille in 2024. The thesis is examining Belle Epoque technical design in the period 1892-1914, using example buildings in and near Paris, Lille and Brussels that were constructed with novel reinforced concrete and cement systems.
